Today my husband and I had a fun time together at the San Diego County Fair.
We watched an event called Turkey Stampede.
The turkey's run after a remote controlled truck fill with food.
It's pretty funny!
One exhibit hall gadget that looked interesting to me was the
International Sushi Master.
International Sushi Master.
Bumped into little Tommy Sablan, the producer of my favorite morning radio show, The Jeff & Jer showgram. I said hello and told him I was a fan. He was really nice and introduced me to his kids and his girlfriends kids, and was happy to pose for this picture with me.
One of the funniest things we heard was the sales pitch blasting over the loud speakers for Juicy's BBQ at the Outlaw Grill truck. "Is your belly button gnawing at your back bone?"

We said we were going to be adventurous and try the fried avocado and chocolate bacon, but once we got there and actually saw and smelled all the greasy, deep fried, fattening foods, we just couldn't do it. Instead, we inhaled a bag of yummy Kettle Corn, which we told ourselves couldn't possibly be as bad, could it?

Brenda, it looks like you guys had so much fun! The photo booth pics are cute! And yes - kettle corn HAS to be better than fried avocado and bacon (ick!). :)

Mary-
Do you and Mark like going to the County Fair? If so, what food do you look forward to eating there?

Thank you for the nice words. I'll stop by your blog soon.
How fun!! One of these years the hubby and I are going to have to hit the fair by ourselves, (we always end up taking the kids and doing the kid stuff).
Dog snob-
Hey stranger! It's been over 20 years since my husband and I have gone alone. It was really fun.
Looks like a fun day.
